On March 21st 2019, ClickDimensions acquired Sweetspot.
This acquisition will enable ClickDimensions, which is the leading marketing automation provider for Microsoft Dynamics 365, to provide robust data intelligence that is built by marketers, for marketers.
Sweetspot, based in New York, is a leader in the marketing dashboard space and helps large enterprises like P&G, Shell, Toyota, Marriot and many more create personalized dashboards for the purpose of displaying all marketing data in one place.
With the addition of this marketing dashboard, ClickDimension customer will now be able to have easy, on-demand access to examine and enhance campaign, channel and revenue-impact performance data.
Mike Dickerson, the CEO of ClickDimensions, explained that based on the recent flood of data platform acquisitions by marketing technology providers, data has become that much more critical to the modern marketers’ success. He agreed that marketing analytics is definitely an essential part of a complete marketing platform.
“This acquisition will be tremendously beneficial to our customers and is the next strategic step in our commitment to serving the expanding needs of marketers with the ClickDimensions marketing cloud for Dynamics,” he further added.
Some of the marketers’ biggest data pain points, like tedious data integration tasks and endless spreadsheets, get addressed by Sweetspot as they deliver simplicity in their execution in the form of codeless integrations and intuitive interfaces.
There are almost 50 prebuilt connectors like Google AdWords and Facebook on their platform that connect to common marketing data sources. Sweetspot enables flexibility, control and collaboration for marketing teams by removing data complexity and by providing ease of access to the information that marketers covet.
Sergio Maldonado, Sweetspot founder, and chairman asserted that Sweetspot was founded with the mission to convert big data into useful data which a lot of marketers lacked. Their marketing dashboard eases data consumption and optimizes decision making. He excitedly added that they are eagerly awaiting the impact this acquisition has on the success of marketers utilizing Microsoft Dynamics 365.
As a result of this acquisition, the existing power and features of the Sweetspot marketing dashboard will be combined and harmonized with Dynamics 365 for Sales and the multi-channel marketing automation data from ClickDimensions. All this along with prebuilt views and KPIs based on marketing best practices in the new marketing dashboard will be launched most probably in the summer of 2019.
