Almost a month ago, B2B service firm DiscoverOrg acquired ZoomInfo giving sales and marketing professionals access to the most trusted and comprehensive B2B data available in the market. On March 5th 2019, DiscoverOrg made its second acquisition announcing its purchase of email verification and list cleansing service NeverBounce.
This acquisition will witness the integration of NeverBounce technology into DiscoverOrg’s own platform so as to enhance email accuracy and verification of other marketing data. The email addresses that are contained in the DiscoverOrg and ZoomInfo platforms will be cleaned with the help of the NeverBounce technology.
Additionally, over the next year, DiscoverOrg’s products will be inbuilt with NeverBounce capabilities which include its data enrichment service, Enrich. All the NeverBounce products will be sold on a stand-alone basis, available at a discount for the customers of DiscoverOrg and ZoomInfo.
In a statement released by Brad Owen, the NeverBounce CEO, he states that both DiscoverOrg and NeverBounce have a commitment to ending bad sales and marketing data. NeverBounce has a verification process that checks each email up to 75 times. DiscoverOrg has noted that the average B2B database has a decay rate of 3% per month.
Henry Schuck, the CEO of DiscoveryOrg asserted that managing, updating and cleansing existing data that is within CRM and marketing automation systems is equally as important as finding new buyers.
NeverBounce’s 12-person staff will continue to work from their Beachwood office and will be joining a team of 1000 at DiscoverOrg. Brad Owen will continue in the position of CEO of NeverBounce.
Apart from NeverBounce and ZoomInfo, DiscoverOrg has acquired RainKing in 2017 and iProfile in 2015.
Founded in 2014, NeverBounce has more than 100,000 users across the globe and is a provider of email verification and list cleansing services.
