Content writing is basically editing and writing web content. It requires a lot of planning and research. To begin as a content writer one need to have enough essay and composition skills.

Make a portfolio website for your selected niches.

  • Write 4-5 articles on topics you liked using basicSEO.
  • Publish them on free websites made with Wixor WordPress to make a portfolio.

#3: What to charge?

Charge your price depending on these factors:

  • Your Experience
  • Client’sBudget
  • YourExpertise
  • Client’sIndustry

If you are a beginner and your client is an Indian, you can charge your price from 50 paise per word to Re1 per word and if you are experienced you can charge from Rs2 per word toRs5 per word.

If you are a beginner and your client is a foreigner, you can charge your price from 4- 8 cents per word and if you are experienced you can charge from 15 – 25cents per word.

#5: How to find the right content writing groups?

  • On Facebook, search for keywords like writers, writing, content writer on social media content writing, writing jobs,etc.
  • After joining any group, go through their feed and checks whether there are any posts related to queries and hiring.
  • Avoid groups that have too many money guaranteed posts (They are mostlyfrauds)
  • Try to find the post that says “I/We need a content writer….” or “Hiring ContentWriter…”
  • In LinkedIn, optimize your profile to get searched by your ideal client.
  • Start networking with your competitors and ideal clients.
  • In Instagram, optimize your profile and use hashtags like #writing, #contentwriting, #contentwriters, #contentwritersneeded,#contentwriting jobs,etc.
  • Start following thehashtags.

Make your sample email/message look professional. Do not simply write “I’m

  • In Content Writing, there is no need to write using jargon or critical sentences. It should sound like a normal talk.

  • Ask for daily payments until the first two weeks or for the first 5 articles. Later you can shift to weekly payments.
