Cognizant to Acquire Linium and Servian
Cognizant is all set to acquire Linium and Servian. The acquisition will boost the digital biz for the tech giant specializing in digital engineering and intelligent process automation.
While Servian is a Sydney-based enterprise transformation consultancy specializing in data analytics and artificial intelligence, the New York-based company Linium is a cloud transformation consultancy group.
On Monday 11th January Cognizant announced the acquisition of the two companies in Bengaluru to strengthen its cloud environment and digital business competence.
Both the deals are expected to close this quarter and the financial details of the deals haven’t been disclosed. As soon as the acquisition of Servian is complete, more than 500 technology and consulting staff of the company, currently located in Australia and New Zealand will join Cognizant and this would nearly double the size of the cloud and data team in the region.
According to Jane Livesey, chief executive officer, Cognizant Australia, and New Zealand, the enterprises in the region are articulating and accelerating the rate of their digital adoption.
Livesey further added, “Cognizant’s extensive digital expertise combined with Servian’s strengths as the premier technology partner in the region will open up the full power of digital transformation for our Australian clients.”Linium marks Cognizant’s 7th cloud-related acquisition while Servian will be Cognizant’s 10th digital acquisition since January. Over the past 12 months, Cognizant has invested around $14 billion in digital and cloud-based acquisitions. As soon as the Linium acquisition closes, approximately 150 professionals from Linium will join Cognizant’s global ServiceNow practice.
